maui and the fish

Māui and his brothers went fishing. They went so far out to sea there was  no sight of land.He saw a big fish he told his brothers to stop.He got out his hook and threw it into the water. He was waiting for 10 minutes he pulled on the rope then the fish pulled on the fishing line Māui pulled and then he pulled up the fishing line and the giant fish become the northland of New Zealand.

            The brothers went to see there earth mother and there waka got stranded on a rock in the sea.There waka became the South island of New Zealand.The 5 brothers became particular mountains.
